Sweet natured and have a beautiful song. It is only the male canaries that will sing, each type have a different song but all are stunning. Canaries have been known for being territorial when in a group, so a visual eye is always recommended and a place to separate if needed. These lightweight elegant beauty’s are soft in sound, bright in colour and love their own space. Although people do train them to sit on fingers, Canaries are more cage or aviary birds and are not too fond of being handled. Excellent for mixing in an aviary with other birds or keeping on there own.
