Terms and Conditions ( July 2019 ) 
 
GENERAL: I reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. It is your responsibility to make sure you have read the most up to date terms and conditions. Your statutory rights are not affected. 
I am a fully VAT registered and Pet Shop licenced business. 
 
All hand reared birds will state in the advert that they are hand reared. They will have been fed by human hands and handled from around 3 weeks old. Please note that even hand reared birds can bite and I’m not liable if this happens. All birds need time to adjust to new surrounding and generate a bond with their new owners. 
 
YOUR REPRESENTATIONS: You promise that you are at least 18 years old or have an over 18 representative that has the legal right and ability to enter into this agreement. Also to use any debit/credit card, Paypal or bank transfer used to purchase the Bird (Products). You also promise that all information you have provided is accurate and true. 
 
ORDERS: All orders need paying for upon ordering unless agreed with Lee. I.e., cash on delivery. They will be delivered by a professional licenced livestock delivery company. All orders will need to have someone in to accept and check that they are happy with the purchase made. 
 
COLLECTIONS: You are buying as seen. All the birds will be as they are stated in the adverts on the sites I use to advertise. Any concerns should be raised there and then or immediately within the 5 days. 
 
ACCEPTANCE: Once you have placed an order, I will send you an email confirming receipt of the order via invoice alongside the delivery confirmation. If there is a problem with your order, e.g., a problem with your payment, or stock I will contact you by phone or email. 
 
PAYMENT: Where payment is made by debit/credit card or PayPal, you authorise me to debit your card with the total cost of the Bird including VAT and delivery charges. Any refunds made in respect of returns or cancellations will be made by the same method as payment. Where payment has not been made in full, I may cancel your order and/or suspend any further deliveries to you. 
 
LIABILITY: This clause is not intended to exclude my liability to you or your pet for fraudulent misrepresentation or for death or personal injury resulting from my negligence. The risk of damage or loss of the bird passes to you when delivery or collection is made. I do offer a 5-day health check warranty. If anything happens within that time scale, I would expect you the buyer to inform me either by email or phone at the earliest convenience. You will then be either offered a full refund or exchange on the bird. I am not able to refund unless faulty any additional fees such as housing or delivery. I may require additional information upon the return of any bird about housing, feeding, handling, and enrichment to gain a clear understanding of the causes of the problem. I DO NOT cover veterinary treatment costs at all should you the customer chose to take the bird to see a vet. I do and would not knowing sell an unhealthy bird, unless stated the birds are NOT checked for PBFD or other diseases. I CANNOT guarantee that any bird purchased will successfully live with another species of bird. The guarantee does not cover any injuries caused by housing a bird with an existing bird. I always do my best to sex birds but for some species this is not possible at the point of purchase, at which point this will be indicated. The only way to be 100% for certain species is having them DNA tested. 
 
CARE INSTRUCTIONS: All the birds come with care information; you must follow these instructions. I am not liable for any loss or damage in the event that the instructions have not been followed.

Please note I do not use your details for marketing purposes and all information held about yourself is stored securely meeting the new GDPR regulations. I do not share your details with any third-party companies. I will only contact you if the call is to your benefit e.g. A problem with a delivery, bird or payment. 
 
PLEASE NOTE – ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED MAY AND CAN BE GIVEN TO NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNCIL UPON REQUEST IN RELATIN TO AAL REGULATIONS 2018.
